20G iPod is in FREEZE mode. Help!

My hubby's 20G iPod is on, yet it responds to nothing.
It appears to be "stuck." Any suggestions?
Would it help to connect it to the computer to reset?

Hold down the select button (middle button) and the menu button at the same time. Wait a few seconds and the iPod will reboot (you'll see an apple logo.)

I am assuming you have a click wheel iPod.
