Hi everybody,

I work from a 27" iMac and have recently had a 23" NEC MultiSync EX231W hanging around the office so I decided to use it as an external monitor.

I have it set up so that the monitor is in portrait to the left of my iMac.

Now, I love the set-up and the portrait monitor is really helping with certain tasks, but the colours are rubbish, the picture isn't as sharp and I can't get the brightness right.

So, my question is, does anyone know of any good quality 21/23" monitors that I can use alongside my 27" iMac in portrait mode, which will have the same pixel ratio (so that windows are the same size and clarity on both screens) and can be a close match with the colour and brightness?

Thanks in advance. :)

Dell ultrasharp http://www.amazon.com/Dell-UltraSha...1374704614&sr=1-1&keywords=dell+23+ultrasharp usually only the higher end monitors have stands that support rotating to portrait mode. Otherwise you have to get a VESA compliant monitor and buy a separate mounting arm. In that size 1920x1080 is pretty standard for resolution. There is also a 24" version that might fit better but you would have to take some measurements.

Agree with Dell UltraSharp. A 20"-21" 1920x1080 will give you close to the same pixel density as your iMac (108.79 dpi)
