21.5" iMac no SSD over 256GB available to order?

Anyone know when this changed? Is this now a limit of 21.5" iMac or maybe another sign of new models coming?

MR posted an article on the 25th of February noting that this was the case, and that article said it had been that way for a few days so probably since mid February. It's possible there's a shortage in parts or they're gearing down to upgrade them. It is also possible that they will discontinue the 21.5" before any announcement is made. The current 1080p screen model dates to June 2017 and the 4K one to March 2019, so they might not be interested in continuing production any further. Might be another "while supplies last" situation. But I could be wrong about that.

Just noticed that myself and submitted a tip to MR but they already had an article about it... I need to look at the actual main page more.

Also, the lowest-tier 27" model has no option for storage upgrade either. I don't know if it was always that way but seems very odd to me. I think this is a good sign that discontinuation or upgrade of this model is coming very soon.

Yeah the entry level 27" was limited to 256GB since at least last August when it was updated. I guess it's because the mid tier model has 512GB plus a faster clocked chip for $200 more anyway (which is usually what it costs to go from 256-512, so it's actually a better than usual value).
