Well last night i finally took the initiative and went to the Apple Store and bought myself a 21.5" iMac (just the entry level one) and unfortunately i've already had some problems.
The first one was: last night after i'd set everything up and had a go on some of the apps, i clicked 'Log Off'. But when i did the screen went blue and the little loading icon was in the centre of the screen. I waited about 5 mins and thought that it was just taking a while because it was the first time i was logging off. But 10 mins later, it was still going. So i went away and watched TV for 45 mins and when i came back it was still doing it. I decided it wasn't going to change so i hit the power button on the back to put it in standby and then pulled the plug. I started it up again to make sure all was well, and it ddid seem to be.
But now it is refusing to connect to my wireless router! I have tried all the troubleshooting i can find and the laptop i'm on currently is connected to the router and it is right beside the mac so i'm pretty sure its not the router.
I called the apple store and they said for me to bring it up and they'll give me a replacement and i know this is great but its quite a long journey to my nearest store and i would have all the hassle of packing it all up again.
If anyone knows anything which would possibly help me out, please let me know and alternatively, if you think i'd be just as well taking it back to the store, please let me know that too.
Thanks.
