21.5" refurb

my first post, please be gentle

my old dell is on it's last legs and i have been lusting over a imac for a while.

the new imacs to me were just too expensive (not realy bothered how thin a desktop is) so have just ordered a refurb for £999.

would it be worth my while to buy imac for dummys to help me get started?

p.s. i am a dummy and pretty much computer illiterate

Welcome to the other side

Don't buy iMac for dummies, if you have questions there are a lot of people to help you out here.
And, a mac is "easy" you will see it has a great and easy OS.

You'll learn fast.

...but if you spent £999GBP on a refurb surely you could have pushed the boat out a little further at just £1099GBP for a new one (assuming you was going for the stock 21.5"?

well for me like most i suppose it came down to money, i am way out of my comfort zone at£1000.

plus i am planning to upgrade the memory at a later date myself which will cost £30 instead of the £160 apple are charging, im happy enough
