I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a new 21" iMac, but am hesitant since I really want an SSD only option. The 27" is too big for my work space and is overkill for what I'm doing.

Do you guys think Apple will make a stealth update adding an SSD only option the 21" iMac?

After owning a 13" retina I do not want to step backwards and purchase a machine with a spinning drive, or the hybrid fusion drive.

I really doubt that it will ever come the 21.5 SSD only as it will be more expensive of the base 27 with traditional HDD or FD.

Your option is to go to an Apple Autorised Repaired and ask them to swap your HDD for a SSD or you can do it your self if you got the guts (refer to the tread rip those imac open for instructions)
