21 inch 2012 - 2 external monitors

I'm running two externals on a 27". I know you're asking about the 21", but pretty much the same thing. One is a 9-year old 23" cinema display using DVI with a thunderbolt adapter (i think I have thunderbolt on this 27"). The other is a 5-year-old cheap-ass 23" monitor also going thunderbolt>DVI. 27" is running at full 2560x1440, cinema is running at 1920x1200, and the cheap monitor is running at 1920x1080. It works perfectly for me...no hiccups.

Cool. I do know that the last generation 21 inch couldn't push two monitors, didn't even have the second display / thunderbolt port. Figured with the new one having both ports like the 27, we'd be ok.

When I get back to school this is what I will be doing with mine. Good to know that it works well for you, sounds like I shouldn't have any problems.

Not too sure about 2 monitors, i own the basic 2012 iMac 21" with the GeForce GT 640M. Currently i've got a Dell S2240L which is a 21.5" glossy monitor connected to it and it works fine. However i think with 2 additional monitors it won't run as smooth.
