Just a personal observation - why is there so much conversation about the appearance of MacOS, when the real power of the Mac has always been the capability to automate workflows. Isn't that why "computers" were invented? It is such a shame that this concept has been sidelined - a capability that I think was unique to the Apple world. It is time for Apple to create a bridge to, and eventual replacement for Applescript - perhaps as a Swift framework (or dare I say it - Python!). I know Apple has very high standards for User Interface appearance and utility, and thats great - but have we not entered the realm of diminishing returns? - I mean, who really cares whether the background to a window shows a fuzzy rendition of your desktop wallpaper - what does it achieve as far as productivity is concerned? Applescript was a brilliant invention that brought the efficiencies and speed previously the domain of shell scripts for the text world into the graphical environment - but it has sadly and inexplicably been left to wither away.
Let's leave all the glassy flashy stuff to iOS and iPadOS - there, users can scroll up and down and gaze at their beautiful backgrounds with vacant stares all day - fooling themselves into thinking they are getting something done.

Completely baffled that the OP doesn't address Shortcuts at all, so I must assume it was made in bad faith just to complain about Liquid Glass.
