22" Westinghouse Monitor to HDMI switch

I have a 22" Westinghouse LCD that has one DVI port and I'd like to be able to easily switch between my Roku box and my MacBook Pro. Could I buy this HDMI switch and connect my Roku box through HDMI to the switch, my MacBook Pro through an HDMI to DVI cable to the switch, then the switch to the monitor through an HDMI to DVI cable? I've heard that some switches have problems with cables that have different connection types (like HDMI -> DVI). I'd rather use an HDMI switch because they're cheaper than the DVI switches.
