They don't usually do live feeds. It's up just a few hours later though so it's all good. I make sure not to use the internet until the feed is up because I don't like knowing until I see steve present it.

I don't care much for the video. No offence to Steve teh King, but I just wanna see at MR first, and then a more detalied and graphic version on Apple's website few hours later...:D

How many hours later do u think the video will be available?
Will it be on the home page of apple's site?

I have no idea. Usually I'm at school so I can't watch it till I get home. I'm lucky today's BC Day : ).

Watching the live text feed at MR is soooo much geekier. :D

LOL I kno...It's so exciting seeing new lines of text with new information. I get so excited sometimes I misread it, or just skip to the end because I'm trying to read it so fast. Geez I'm a dork.

No, what is so much geekier is to set up a linux box with aaxine piped into telnet and watching a real-time ASCII-conversion of the Keynote with full audio.

It's usually a few hours after the event. The reason is so they can edit it so that everything is presenting in the best possible way, i.e., which camera angle (wide or tight), when to go full screen for a keynote slide and so on.

Expect that the server will be hammered enormously when it goes up, so don't expect a very smooth stream for awhile until the masses have had their fill. Given the topic this time (first l@@k at Leopard) I expect that this one is going to get inundated for quite some time.

I already have it set as my homepage, so that way I bypass all the announcements. This is my first time watching the keynote before actually reading about it. It shall be exciting! :D

Yes, it will be :)

I enjoyed the live streams much better than the pre-recorded ones, because I could go in with no knowledge of what was going to be unveiled. This year I'll be at work all day, so I can jump straight into the keynote when I get home, without spoiling it by looking at other sites - that means no reading MR at lunch time!

Agreed, and in a good way. I tried to watch a bit of a keynote once and was a) hugely irrititated by how long it took to load, and b) a little bit irritated by Steve™. :(

I just wanna know about the new stuff.
