23' ACD whine

Hi everyone,

I bought a 23' ACD last December and have only just noticed that when I dim the brightness down from maximum the display starts to emit a little (but seriously annoying in a vexing-go-postal) whine.

Is this normal? Should I seek apple's word on it whilst it's still less than 12 months old?

I have two and they are both silent, but I would definitely recommend at least taking it in to document the issue, because the whine may be a variable resistor failing. If you have fading lights at home, you will probably notice that the dimmer they are, the louder they are, because the appliances do not vary the resistance to match the drop in light output.

I think its your power supply, I had a whine comming from my first 20'' ACD and just returned it. My current 30'' is silent.

Yes! Bring it back, despite what you read about apple care on these forums, I have had nothing but good experiences when dealing with them in Apple Stores and over the phone.
