23 and 30 inch ACDs to PC

I am interested in buying either a 23 inch or a 30 inch ACD to match/replace my current 20 inch ACD, but I also am planing on building a gaming computer, and I am worried that the 30 inch ACD wouldn't work with non-Apple specific GPUs. Are those worries founded?

Sorry if I didn't do much research, but most people who discovered were fighting with the annoying MDP in the new ACDs and iMacs.

You'd want a video card that has a mini-dp output like the 5970. You can also get an adapter for a regular dp to mini-dp, but many seem to report problems getting it to work. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2246912&start=0&tstart=30 for more information on other possible cards.

I'm looking for help with the 23 and 30 inch acds, which are from the last generation. I have seen some issues with them in my brief research, but not much that has actually helped me much...
