Mini DVI to DVI vs. Mini DisplayPort to DVI - Which one is better?
I use a early 2009 2GHz Mac Mini with both of these ports, connected to an older 23" Matte Apple Cinema Display (Aluminum)
I have both adapters. Is there any difference whatsoever, maybe in data sent through each adapter, or anything of the sort?
I'm just curious... I found this thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/878965/
but i'm talking more in terms of colors, and the data that is sent over the cable. Does one have an advantage?
Thank you

Either should be fine. I'm using the same monitor with my 2011 MBP using mini-displayport (actually thunderbolt) to DVI adapter with no problems at all.

I'd suspect that mini-DVI to DVI would perform just as well.

I was just wondering because maybe my mind is playing tricks on me, but it seems that the Mini-DVI makes the screen more yellow looking, while the Display port is more a 9300ish color temperature (Cool Blue).

Could be. You could check to see if a different color profile (display preferences) is being used for each interface.
