23' Cinema HD Display - Black Rectangle / Can This Be Fixed?

Have had this 23' Cinema HD Display in storage for some time and have just turned it on for the first time in many many years and there is now this big black rectangle now down the middle of the screen.

Can this be fixed or should I just recycle the display? It’s just taking up room at this point but if it can be easily fixed I’ll keep it for use with older Macs.

Check for bent pins on the DVI cable

A similar problem for me, but a single black line.....🤨....near the bottom.
It's really annoying as the screen is mint (as is the box).
Can't bring my self to throw it, cost me almost £1k.
Would love to be able to fix it..?
