How well do these two play together?

I have the display on the way, and would like to pair it with my Cube...for the time being I'm afraid that this card is the end of the line for me in Cube upgrades.

I know these cards are also known to run hot in Cubes-assuming this combo works, will I need to worry even more about heat and make an extra effort to get a fan on the GPU?

In the worst case, I'll keep the 22" with my Cube and find another use for the 23"(Quicksilver anyone?)

Those cards struggle to drive that display well. Even a 64MB card has a difficult time with that display.

Thanks-sounds like I'm better off with the 22"

My Quicksilver? Sure!!!

Let me PM you my address!!! :D :D

Well, I have about $110 in it including shipping, so Ill figure a fair profit and we can go from there :)

In all seriousness, I can find a use for it(probably on my Quicksilver) so it won't go to waste.

Even the 22" ADC pushes that card. Anything bigger than the 20" is a bit much for that card to drive nicely.

I had thought that the 22" was a safer bet than the 20".

The 22" is older and is 1600x1024. The 20" ADC Cinema is 1680x1050.

Are you telling me this is not the case(unless the issue is power draw, in which case I could see how the 20" would be slightly better)?

Do you have a display for the 1GHz QS that will be delivered tomorrow? :)

I'm trying to "Applefy" my displays a little bit more. My current main-use Quicksilver(that this one will be replacing) has a 17" ADC Studio and a generic 23" 1680x1050 display.

The ideal set-up would be a pair of 23" HD Cinemas connected to it :)

It'll still work, but not as well. Power draw on a Cube for ADC displays isn't a problem. The power doesn't get touched by the Cube, it only passes through from the power supply.

So why is the 20" better for the card than the lower-resolution 22"?

It may not be better, it's all how one perceives how the display works with the card. In the end, they both perform poorly with the GeForce MX2.
