iPod Do I need a remote w/ iPod dock?

I have a new intel mac that came with a remote. I am buying the universal dock, but can I use my exsisting remote with that dock, or do I need another one?

Your current remote will work with the dock - just make sure they're not both in range or the remote will activate both devices.

You can pair the remote to a device - just look up Remote and Pairing on the Apple support site.
