Hey all -
I'm interested in purchasing a 24" LCD (resolution 1920 x 1200) but I have a MacBook Pro 15" (1400x900 around 19" size). Is it worth the $430ish I'll be paying (if I do buy one - which must be high quality, so I'm going with a Samsung SyncMaster) to upgrade to the higher reso and size?

Thanks!

Yes! I have 2 Syncmasters hooked to my MP ... I just recently switched from Windows and used them on my XP machine. They are great!

For me it was worth it. I have a Macbook (not Pro) and I keep it in clamshell mode and run a 24" external. I have a 24" iMac at work and love the size, so I got this one for home ($550 and well worth it). Previously I was using a 20" Dell 2005fpw and loved it too, but the 24" just give me so much more space, and I can run it at a lower resolution and still have a lot of space.

if you need the space yes... its basically just pure convienence and differs with each person depending on what they do on their computer
