On the aforementioned 24" ACD I have a black strip along the right edge, top to bottom. Approximately 2 inches wide. It was flickering and disappearing, but it now seems to be here to stay.
The ACD has been updated to the latest firmware, the thunderbolt port flickering issue fix last year.
Typically it is plugged into a 2011 Mini but to verify the issue I have connected my girlfriends 13" 2010 MBP and the issue persists.

Any ideas? The ACD is out of warranty and I really don't have the room for a 27" Thunderbolt display (or the inclination to spend $1000 at the moment!
