Ok... So as the iPad Pro settles in I'm now looking at 24 hours use before the battery is dead ?

That's incredible!

What settings are you using right now? Brightness level, bluetooth, cellular(if you have it), location services, notifications, etc...?

Just got the 5% battery warning and been cruising for 15+ hours from full charge so far. Sure my brightness is pretty low but it's on auto and I just happen to not be in a super bright room. But notifications are on, Bluetooth is on for the Apple Pencil, and I've been using it for messaging, YouTube, Amazon Video and regular internet surfing.

Brightness at about 30-40% which is my comfort level. Probably below where lots of people run?

Bluetooth, location and notifications all on - I'm doing nothing to save battery life.

are these 32g or 128?

also, is there a notice on the very bottom that indicates its been plugged in between the last full charge?
based on 2 ipads i've worked with this seems unlikely without any incremental charges in the meantime. i'm getting like 6-7 hours on a full charge doing pretty basic stuff.

128 and no plug ins between full charge - charged overnight and that was a single days use in the office. The charger is by my bedside to make sure I charge up each night.

I just want one apple device where i can have full brightness and use it for a day. :(

Ugh, I don't get it, I'm not getting anything close to this. I guess I'll try charging it up and draining it at low brightness to see if that's the culprit - I usually run at 60-70% brigtness, but could that really result in 50%+ battery improvement by itself?

Drained the battery by 50% today in just under 3 hours. Full brightness (it was laying flat on a table with lots of reflections from lamps..) and using the Pencil (Bluetooth & Wi-Fi turned on).

Biggest ones:
Adobe Sketch - 40 mins - 25%
Safari - 1,5 hours - 21%
Sketchbook - 15mins - 15%

I'd say this is still very usable for me as I do not intend on using it twice this long the same way I've used it today. Just got it last week and the Pencil this Sunday, so it's mostly been trying out some things.

Thanks, this better reflects what I've seen myself. Seems brightness can make a huge difference, and the Pencil definitely drains it a bit quicker as well. 6-7 hours at max usage is still pretty solid though.

50% brightness seems pretty glaring to me, I wonder how anyone uses their screens at 100%, unless they started like that and adjusted to it, I guess anything under that would be too dim or odd.

Just depends on the brightness of the room you're in. This morning at my breakfast table by the window on a gloomy day like today? 30% brightness looked fine. In my office right now with bright overhead lighting? 50% feels readable but dim. Direct sunlight? Need 100% or close to it.

Battery life is going to vary depending on workload and brightness. Playing a video will drop it down to about 7 hours and 3D gaming even further to as low as around 4 hours.

Mines at auto brightness and has 5 hours of usage and 76 hours of standby lol. Still have 78% left

Been playing around and yeah brightness is huge. Been running it constantly at ~40-50% with music streaming and browing web, light gaming, pencil use, etc. and I've gotten nearly 3 hours and still at 80%.

I'm only getting about 8hrs of usage at 70% brightness. Does that seem right? Or is mine defective?

Sounds normal. Apple rates it at up to 10 hours. Some might be able to squeeze out more by turning down brightness and browsing with mostly static screen image where the battery saving panel refresh kicks in.

I have to agree. In all my test, no other tablet has as long of a battery life as my iPad Pro. The iPad 3 is the next longest battery life. 50% brightness on the Pro is very bright, even in a well lit room and I am getting 14 hours of Pro battery life with mostly internet use.

That's with screen on auto brightness nor all 50% or lower..
