Does anyone fancy sharing photos of their 24" iMac setup WITH an external monitor?
I am looking for ideas on a setup of the iMac with an external monitor. Thus far, I have tried it with a Samsung monitor, and the whole setup just seemed weird.

Wondering if I simply did not have some of the 'monitor' settings right. In your setup, is the external monitor set as 'main / primary'?

PS: I am aware there will be a screen quality difference.

I'm currently using my iMac with the LG UltraFine 27" 5k monitor. They're both on my desk, angled to face me. Gives me a tone of screen real estate for work.

My iMac is the primary monitor.

Here we go...

Currently working on my Windows PC. However, I can switch to HDMI port 2, and work via the iMac, with the Samsung monitor as extended.

I'll play too. Here's my 24" M1 iMac with secondary 24" LED Cinema Display. There is a significant screen quality (and brightness) difference.

Very nice. And, I see a Mac Mini hiding, too :)
Thanks! That's my 2014 mini running a pi-hole in docker and homebridge and iCloud servers. I use a little HDMI dummy plug to simulate a monitor connection and then VNC to control the display.
