24" Imac Screen Marks

Okay so I have only had my 24" refurbished imac (mid 2008) for a day and cleaned the screen with apple's instructions, A damp cloth that produces no lint. I used the included cloth with the imac and shortly after I began to see marks appearing in the lower left hand corner. They look like marks left after when you wipe the screen with water but when I tried to wipe them off they just come back. I'm not sure if it's air or a temperature issue but they will not go away. You cannot see them unless the screen is turned off and shined with light. Yes I have a bit of an OCD, but I cant help it, I like my things to stay as they were when I opened it. I really don't want to have to go to an apple store for what seems to be a silly issue. Also the closet one is a 45 min. drive and I don't want to be without my computer again. Someone help please
