24" iMac screen problem?

So, I have an iMac from early '09, and I have been using it since May. However, I think it has developed a problem where when I scroll down on white pages, I can clearly see come kind of ghostly bars behind the screen. See the attached picture, and hopefully you can see it. Should I attempt a repair, or is this problem endemic to all 24" iMacs? Also, any ideas on what those bars are?

EDIT: Also, any question on if the "Geniuses" would be able to notice it?

Seems to be the backlight. You are in the 1 year warranty so absolutely take it to repair before it's too late and keep your fingers crossed for 27"
