24" iMac starts with a strange screen and won't start. HELP!

My iMac froze and I restarted it. Now when I start it got weird turquoise stuff on each side of the screen. It does show the apple logo and the loading thingy but after that they disappear it freezes again and nothing happens.

Also tried booting from DVD and this is what happens

I have no idea whats going on.. Could it be the video card?

Any idea?

ps. I got the last white 24" iMac (early 2007) also got a Wacom Cintiq attached into it.
