Hi,
I have an iMac8,1 24 in. 3.06 GHz Intel with 4 GB SDRAM. I want to purchase a new 27 in. iMac and connect my 24 in. to it as a second monitor.

How do I do this??

Thank you
Jerry

Sell the 24 and buy a second monitor, then pocket the difference.
This. I don't believe the 24-inch iMacs supported Target Display Mode. Someone may correct me on this.

Sell the 24-inch and figure out what display you want (whether a 27" LED Cinema Display to match the iMac, or something else)

Definitely sell the iMac. You can sell it and buy a nicer 24" monitor for what you sell it for. Plus the 24" iMacs can't be used as monitors.

iMac 24

Hi, Thanks people for your help. I can now make my decision. Knowledge is the most wonderful thing.
