What's the proper behavior of the 24" ACD when power is lost? I've recently installed Snow Leopard and though I can't see why this would have changed, I've not experienced this before.

The display is hooked to a 15" MBP which is being powered by the ACD. When power is lost (either through turning off the surge protector, or an actual blackout) the MBP obviously switches to battery power and the ACD goes dark as expected.

But when power is turned back on, the ACD defaults to 100% blinding brightness.

Is this something new? I don't recall ever having to lower the brightness after a power loss before, but I can't see why it would change.

I'm fairly certain it is the MBP doing it. After a power failure, my MBP always defaults back to 100% brightness on boot. Maybe it has no memory of the previous brightness setting without power.
