That is a good price!

That is a great price on a 24" imac. Much lower than refurb pricing or what they are sold for on ebay or from a retailer used.

That's a great price. Too bad they don't have any new 20" white iMacs left at a similar price reduction, the 24" is just a bit too big for my workspace really.

I ordered one about 2 hours ago. I was really trying to hold out for the mac pro update, but crumbled when I saw the price. I'll deal with the slower performance, especially for the $850 price difference that I worked out with another seller. I use the newer alum 2.8ghz as the main production computer at work, but I don't think this one will be much different.

I'm tempted...

For just under $300 you could add an extra 2GB RAM and a 750GB hard drive (although, I'm not sure how difficult it is to swap drives in those).

So, for $1600 I could have:

2.16GHz Core 2 Duo
24" screen THAT ISN'T GLOSSY!
3GB RAM
750GB hard drive
7300 GT video card (meh, but I don't play games much anymore)
Leopard
iLife 08

Go for it before they are all gone!!
Forget swapping the drive, add a firewire 500G external to take advantage of time machine with Leopard. :D

This is truly a fantastic deal. I would have been on this like flies on **** if I hadn't just bought a 24" Alu iMac!
