Folder Sync with my USB Memory Pen? Like Windoz Suitecase.

Is there anything like Suitecase in Windows that can keep a certain folder Sync between different copies of it? I need to work on different computers so this is going to help a lot. The files I access and change is quite big so network sync should not be considered.

Any ideas then copy n paste + replace all files from my USB Pen everytime i move to a different computer?

You might need to purchase something, like ChronoSync.

If you don't need a GUI, you can probably make it work with something like rsync or unison. Both are cross platform and would thus allow you to sync to Windows boxes as well as Macs...

RSyncX, discussed a couple of replies later, should be free. But you are certainly welcome to use Windows 95, if that is your desire....

yea thx for RSync ... but 'em... not a Universal Binary...

One of the Mac im working with is a hopeless 512 mac mini intel, and doubt how bad it'll suffer....

It's open source, there will be a universal binary somewhere on the net.

woo... thats why i lov the mac community ...

but'em.. seems like the UB one does not have a GUI... and the GUI one (non-UB)... i don't know, seems like very well packed so i can't just copy and paste the UB sourcecode in some kind of folder ... or can I?

RSync is a file sync'ing utility. Not exactly Photoshop. I'd personally give RSyncX a try under Rosetta first and see how it works.... But I don't have experience using Rosetta....

the performance is not bad, but once rosetta loads, it took a huge amount of real/virtual memory... anyway, just realize the the ChronoSync allows me use as long as i wish if I don't need to sync more than 500 files one time ... fairenough, thx again for you guys helping me out

Now that I tried installing it, I think I'm actually going to experiment with using RSyncX to keep a version of either my iBook Home Directory or my entire iBook HD in a disk image on my iMac. I'll have to play around and see if the "run as admin" feature really works (since I am using a standard account that isn't on the sudoers list). But I should at least be able to clone my home directory, and also sync anything I do with the cloned home directory back, which I think is ace.

There's also Arrsync, which (just like rsyncx) is also a front-end for rsync. Arrsync, however, is universal binary and seems to be more actively developed. Find it here.
