I really hope the next AirPods have a better equalization and correct that mongrel called Spatial Audio that breaks the sound of my voice-over reels because there is room for improvement. But I guess the very minimalistic design has its limitations, and I would never hear them as well as my open-back studio headphones.

I thought $99 for the AP4 non-ANC version was a nice deal (vs $129, around 23% off), and just picked it up. While I would prefer the ANC version (not just for the ANC, but also for the wireless charging case), this is a pretty good deal. Feels like less bang-for-buck to pay $49 more ($99 vs $149) for the ANC version.

This is also my secondary AirPods that I primarily use to sleep with (listening to music or a podcast), and will basically replace my OG AirPods that I had used for this (that I had cleaned many times but probably good for my ear health to refresh after probably 4 years).

My primary headphones / headset for work is my APP2's - given the rumors that AirPods Pro 3 is probably coming out later this year, think unless people really want these now, think better to wait and see what those are like.
