no, not all of the picture are my machine, i was just trying to find out if this is same situation for other ppl, so i googled em.There are substantial differences between the brightness levels on all 3 of your screen shots. Care to guess why in one it's darker at the center and on another it'd darker at the edges? Care to guess how often you use your computer with an all white/light grey screen? So does it matter?
My MBP C2D has uneven brightness. It's not bad, but I do notice it. I don't have a problem with my 20" ACD though.
I have the same issue. My left side of the screen is brighter than the right. Doesn't bother me too much.
im not scaring youFortunately for me, mine's flawless - lighting is even, with no stuck/dead pixels. My 4-year-old TiBook had some uneven lighting, which was only noticeable with a solid colored background, unseen otherwise. I've been blessed <knocks on wood> in never having any screen or pixel problems in 3 PowerBooks, 2 iBooks, and now 1 MBP!

im not scaring you
it develops through time. try post back in 3 month.
I have this problem as well. It sounds like the glossy screens don't suffer from this issue...
Never had it happen with time in Wallstreet, Pismo, or TiBook - not expecting it'll happen with time with my MBP! <crosses fingers!>
If you have a screen with defective/uneven lighting, take it into an Apple store and see about a swap. But that's perhaps just me - I'm pretty particular when it comes to my lappy's screen!

LOL< i called applecare, and talked to the genies in the store, they don't think that's defect.

Did they grant you three wishes instead?![]()
Yeah Applecare isn't going to call this a defect. It was like pulling teeth to get them to admit the horizontal lines issues in my last gen 15" powerbook was a problem. Apple just does not like to admit there is a problem with something. I suppose in this case the neven backligting for most people is very minor so I can see where they are coming from.
iBorg, you say you have a perfect screen. Do you have the matte or glossy?
