So I'm in the market for a new monitor to accompany my 21in imac, currently have a 23in acer, which works fine, I would just like something with a higher resolution. So of course I start looking at the 24in ACD, which fits all my desires perfectly, other then the cost. When compared to an older 23in ACD, they have the same resolution(my biggest want), but for quite different prices. Of course I would pick up the 23in used, which is looking around 300-350. is the extra 400 worth it for the 24? are there any major differences other then that black trim ad the magsafe adaptor?

Well The Biggest Difference Would Be The 24" Would Have a Glossy Look Whereas the 23" Would Sport a Matte Screen With Less Glare, With Of Course Resolutions Remaining The Same. An iSight Webcam is on Board on the 24" & Lacking on the 23" Version. The 24" also sports Extra USB 2.0 Port (3), & Be Missing (2) Firewire 400, when compared to the 23"

It Would depend on what equipment your gonna use to justify the higher price.

23" ACD

24" ACD

Good Luck!

Edit: 24" ACD Apparently Also Has an Intergrated Mic & 2.1 speaker system
