Obviously you're not a golfer.
is there any kind of roadmap that would let me know about when we will see 250GB or larger 7200RPM laptop hard drives on the market? i want to upgrade my MBP but the jump from the 160GB 5400RPM i have now to a 200GB 7200RPM thats currently available is kind of small. i am definitely going to go to a 7200RPM model.

Do you need to hear the 7200 rpm motor or can you live with a drive that is just as fast but doesn't make the 7200 rpm whiz? As disk density goes up, so does speed. A 5400 RPM 320 GB drive is as fast as a 7200 RPM 160 GB drive. In addition to its larger capacity, it is also quiter, and more energy efficient (and probably cheaper than the 1st 250 7k2 drives will be). http://www.bigbruin.com/2008/wd320scorpio_1

Can't actually help answer your question if yo uinsist on 7200.
