I have an A1297 mid 2010 model (mini display port).

Am I right that only way to connect 2560x1440 display to my macbook is using «Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter» and there is no any other options?

Depends on what inputs your monitor has. I'm using a mini-DP to Display port adapter cable that's significantly cheaper than the Apple mDP to Dual-Link DVI and it works fine.

But if you have to connect to DVI, then yes, you need the dual-link version.
