Spec wizards welcome.
I currently have a 15" 2.66 GHz i7 mid-2010 Macbook Pro. The original HDD was upgraded to a cheap 128 Crucial SSD (Maybe an M5?) a few years back and the RAM was maxed out to 8 GB (1066 MHz maybe, I don't remember but it's slower RAM for sure).
I need a new computer, and was hoping for a 12" Macbook update.
How does the new 256 SSD/16 GB RAM Air compare to my current machine? Have we gone far enough into the future that this is a significant upgrade or is it still more or less a lateral sidestep in a lot of ways?
