Yepp, the crucial drive should fit, the only problem is that the 355 MB/s are rated for a SATA III connection and if the Macbook does not have that, then I assume your performance will drop to that of a SATA II connection and maybe 230 MB/s tops.

Go rather for a MX technology DS SSD or Runcore Kylin II. They use the new SF1200 and SF1500 controller and provide some 285 MB/s read and write speeds + inbuilt garbage collection so your performance wont drop over time.
