I have a 450 MHz iMac g3 with 256mb of memory. I'm running OS X 3.9 (Panther) wit iTunes 6.x (last version) and it works great. Do I have anything to fear from loading iTunes 7. I think that I'm getting a new iPod for Christmas and I want to be prepared. I already know that I have to deal with slow syncing with USB 1.x. Let me know what you think.

I have the exact same computer with 512 MB Ram, but running Tiger. iTunes 7 works great. The only issue I have is when browsing the iTunes store I can't preview movies. I assume because of the lack of video ram on this old computer.

Other than that, you shouldn't have any problems.

iTunes 7 loves memory, so you might want to upgrade your memory. It can hold up to 1 Gig.

I have it on a 400 MHz G3 (albeit with 832 MB of memory) and it runs fine. I wouldn't worry about it :)
