DVD Recognition

I have two dvd writers on my Imac G5 i have the built in and an external and whenever i put in a blank dvd it says the disc is unrecognized, how do i fix this?

In which drive (or both), and can you screenshot the message? What brand is the external? Have you used them succesfully in the past?

yes it comes up for both, and i have used them both b4 for nearly a year now

what type of disk is it, ie +/- r/rw or ram

i have tried dvd+r dvd-r dvd-rw and dvd+rw
nothing seems to work

Try it on a different user. 🙂
