27 ACD firmware, how to update windows 7

hi all, i think my monitor is having the issue where after "sleep" occurs the sound does not return unless unplug my monitor.

I know in Dec Apple released a firmware for that but since i am running windows 7 i don't know how to get it updated.

has anyone updated their firmware via windows 7? i search a bunch but didnt find anything.

Hi wing1,

You can't update the firmware in Windows 7, sadly. That being said, you can update the firmware on a PC using OSX86. I don't have a Mac, so I downloaded OSX86 (iATKOS S3 v2.0) and installed it on another harddrive using the guides at: http://www.osx86project.org/

After booting up OSX86, I was able to successfully update my ACD27" firmware using the official Apple update utility.
