Hey there,

I‘m considering buying a new display since I just got myself a Mac Mini. Now I found a 27in ACD for around 250€ and while there are surely better displays out there (LG 4K), the design and Apple logo seems really appealing. ;)

Would you consider the ACD in 2021 as a Display for the MacMini?

thanks :)

Not for 250 euros. You can get a cheap 27" 4K monitor for not much more than that.
And there's the issue of bad font rendering on non-HiDPI displays in current versions of macOS. I wouldn't consider the display for that reason alone unfortunately (which is a shame since it's otherwise a decent and beautiful monitor!).

I still use the 27" ACD, together with XDR. I think ACD is still a great monitor. The integrated webcam, mike, speakers, plus the ability to control the volume and brightness through the keyboard are nice features. The only other options that offer these features are the LG 4k and 5k monitors designed by LG to work with Apple computers.
