27" iMac 2017 w/External Display

Hi,

I've done some hunting around online but find conflicting and confusing posts regarding this so I'm looking for some clarification!

I'm ordering a new 27" iMac and I have both the Dell P2715Q 4K monitor, and the Dell U2713H 1440p monitor and I'd like to use one or both of these with the iMac.

The confusion seems to be around the Thunderbolt > DisplayPort / USB-C > DisplayPort.

People have tried various cables and adapters, with mixed success so I'm hoping someone here will be able to point me in the right direction of what I actually need. Whether it's a Thunderbolt > DP, USB-C > DP adapter or cable.
