What are the dimensions of the display of the current 27" iMac? The information on apple's website only shows the height including the stand.

Taken from Apple's website:

Op needs to make an intelligent guess...looking at the pic I provided, the OP can deduct that since the stand is 8 inches and the proportion from the top of the stand to the bottom of the screen is greater than half of the stand height that would make the screen about 17inches.

That's measurement is talking about the stand depth, the length between the front and back of the stand, which isn't shown in that picture.

@Doc69, the 21.5" screen area is 18.7" w X 10.5" high and the 27" is 23.5" wide by 13.2" high. That's just the LCDs themselves, not the housing.

Thanks for the replies. However, I need the exact dimensions of the "housing". Hopefully someone who has a 27" Retina 5K iMac can measure it and post it here.

I called Apple, and the 27" Retina 5K iMac "body", without the stand, is 17 ⅝" high and 25.6" wide.

The reason I wanted to know this is that I plan on buying the version with the VESA mount.
