I've been noticing this a couple times each month since I bought it back in November '10, but whenever I try to wake my iMac after either it was put to sleep through the
menu, or with the display put to sleep using hot corners, it would not wake up whenever I try to use my Apple wireless keyboard or Magic Mouse to wake it up.
The weird thing is that the computer would still technically be on, as you'd here the hard drive spinning, but the display would remain black, nor would any key command register with the computer (e.g. keyboard shortcuts to shut down, and what not). I even tried accessing my iMac via screen-share from my MacBook, but it would not show up as it would still be in sleep mode.
This is getting quite agonizing, especially today when I lost some work I was doing for a client (I know, I forgot to save, stupid me).....but that's besides the point.
Any ideas of what's causing this? Thanks.
