Apple iMac summer 2010 (Intel Core i5 2.8GHz, 27 inch) is being sold TO me for $1150... Is that a fair price?

Fair?
That seems like a great deal to me.

Ah wait, there was a bit of a catch - a bit of a crack.
Still, it is purely cosmetic.
(I know this b/c the seller is having me over her apartment at 5:30pm today to run the computer/test applications/graphics etc.)

p.s. No mouse!

pp.ss. I have a mouse already!

Still a good deal?

Also, disregard the $1300 as through E-Mail the price has been brought down to 1100 now!

It's a good deal.

If it really bugs you, you can replace the glass from Apple for $114.00 Canadian (that's what it lists on one of the repair invoices I have) plus whatever they charge to install it if you don't want to do it yourself ($39.00 for a Hardware Repair Level 1 here in Canada.)

these are some nasty cracks , not a good deal at all

It's superficial. And for ~$114.00 (well more for you Yankees, I'm still getting used to that) he can have it fixed.

Your statement is like 'You shouldn't buy that new mid-range Hyundai Sonata for $14,000 because there's a couple of cracks in the windshield," when it can be replaced for fairly cheap.
