27" iMac (late 2013) speaker quality

just out of curiosity - does anyone know how the internal speakers hold up compared to older models?

I read in some other forums that the 2012 model had worse sound quality than the previous models. With all the rave about iTunes radio I wonder if Apple actually considered upgrading the internal speaker(s).

I guess it doesn't really matter as most people will hook up their system to external speakers anyway but nevertheless it would be nice to know.

Can almost guarantee the speakers will be the exact same as the 2012 model. There's only so much you can do with such a thin chassis.
