I just want to confirm/await correction on what I need to upgrade my RAM.

I a professional photographer and I deal with very large files. My iMac slows way down when I am working with the files in PS, LR, ACR, etc. I assume a RAM upgrade is the thing to do.

My computer is this:

C02FGAUADHJQ S/N
iMac 27/3.1QC/2X2GB/1TB/6970M

I just to confirm that buying two of these would be the right thing to do?

Thank you all so much in advance!

I guess....

your selection is right. I used the specs from your machine and obtain part number CT3327366, same as your link.

Maybe it is of your interest, this machine supports 32 gb of RAM, albeit not officially by Apple:(

I want to upgrade my 2011 iMac 27". So, my iMac will recognize 2x4gb and 2x8gb (total 24gb) configuration?

I did see that that was possible, but is it in any way a bad thing? Is it too much for the computer? I mean, don't get me wrong, I love more power just as much as the next guy, but could it fry the brain?

I just ordered them. I look forward to seeing the changes. I will update everyone here with my results
