Hello guys,

I want to buy a refurbished iMac and upgrade it's storage with an SSD. From what I've heard the operation is simple but I have another question.

On that SSD, if I install Linux (or Mac OS X - haven't decided yet), will the iMac run?

L.E.: If somebody has this versions, how will the video card perform? I'll probably buy one with ATI Radeon HD 5750 1GB in it. I am using this iMac for daily tasks but I'm gonna use it for some video editing also (avidemux).

Apple no longer sells 2011 refurbished iMacs. You'll need to isntall a boot manager like rEFInd.

I didn't say I was gonna buy it from Apple. I found it on another site.

And why will I need to install rEFInd? It's a clean drive, no attached stings.
