Hey

I Have a new 2011 27" iMac, 3.4Ghz i7, 4gb ram.
Now, i want to buy extra ram on a place like macsales or something, but i want to know if the mac has 2 or 4 ram slots ? theres 4 gb in it now. If it has 4 slots, i would just buy 8gb ram (in 2x4gb) & then i'd have 12gb. but if it has only 2 slots then i'd .. probably buy the same x) but then i'd only have 8gb ram ofcourse..

So i'm not sure..

Ah! awesome news!, then i'll buy 8gig more & have 12gig ram :) that should be more then enough.

Woo it arrived today, & it was 1minute job to install :) went very easy & quickly (for my first time doing this :p).

Thanks for the info :).

I can't find a definitive answer. Should the RAM be installed in pairs, and if so, are the pairs horizontal or vertical?
