27" iMac prints last page upon sleep mode

Hi all,

I'm trying to help my grandpa here. I tried searching.

He has a 27" iMac from '09-'10ish era.

He tells me that he prints off a daily message thing every day and lately it prints but then later when he puts it to sleep mode it will take longer than usual and then it will print off the last page he printed again.

Printer: HP desk jet F4480

Any thoughts anyone? My grandpa lives in Vancouver and I live in Calgary so this is all by the phone which kinda complicates it.
