Hey guys!

I wanted to tell you about my experience installing a Vertex 3 in my 2011 27" iMac. I followed instructions that I found on the Internet and everything worked... But my CPU fan was running between 4000 and 5000 rpm!!! So I played around with the wiring and fixed it! Everyone is saying that the SSD needs to be plugged into sata 0, the HDD in Sata 1, and the optical drive in Sata 2.... WRONG!

The SSS needs to be plugged into sata 1, the HDD into Sata 0, and the optical into Sara 2! With this combo the fans run normal! If you do this and your having fan issues, try swapping out to the ports I say.

At first osx was running a little jittery but I read that it was just the cache filling. It runs awesome now! Check out the video below:
