Guys
I am in the market for a 27'' monitor. I currently have a 2012 MacPro and use it with an 27" EIZO monitor. The EZIO monitor is great for my photo editing but I would like a second monitor for everyday stuff like surfing the net, emails and the likes..........Seeing as Apple has stoped making monitors I will need something non apple. I don't want to buy twice so what would be your recommendations for a good quality hi resolution monitor to use with my MacPro?
Thanks

Neil

I've bought 30 or 40 of them - only one case of infant mortality that was quickly replaced. They have DP, mDP and HDMI inputs - and come with a DP <-> mDP cable. (If your system has DP, plug the DP into the system and use the mDP input. If your system has mDP, plug the mDP into the system and use the DP input. If your sysem has USB-C, get a USB-C to mDP dongle, or a USB-C to DP cable like https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812400730 .)

We use them with both Apples and PCs. The fonts at native resolution are pretty small, so tell the Apple that it's a retina display, set Windows to 150% magnification.

Since Apple stopped making ‘matte’ cinema displays, I have always had dell ultrasharps.
Not a fan of glossy screens.

I have been a fan of matte displays for sure, however for my main Mac Pro, I use a Dell 5K display (UP2715K) which happens to be glossy, but it seems it's not that bad at all. I sit next to a window and I never seem to have glare or reflections from strong light sources.

How is that connected to your gpu, do you need two dp connections?
Or are you on a nMP?
