So I've been having problems with my cinema display flickering. Happens whenever the screen brightness level is set to anything lower than the halfway point.

With every window I try to open, program, move of the mouse, action I take, etc... the screen flickers.

I've got it paired with my 15" MBP
4 GB
2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT

Thoughts?

Anyway of looking at the screens refresh settings under display preferences? Resolution? To me it sounds like some faulty LED back lighting but it might be some weird low refresh rate or interlacing though the latter would be somewhat non-sensible.

The resolution is set to 2560x1440. How do I check the refresh setting in the display preferences? Can't seem to find where it is.

Update... well not really, but it seems to only be happening only when I have the "better battery life" option selected in the energy saver. Tried selecting the higher performance option last night, and the flickering stopped...

I take it I have to constantly have the 9600M GT graphics card (Higher Performance) running to avoid this...?
